James Dennis was born in Nottingham in the last millennium, which wasn't
as long ago as some people seem to think. He studied Computer Science
at university, but somehow ended up working in financial services. He
much prefers doing things in his spare time, including walking in the
Lake District, playing cornet in a local brass band and occasionally
playing piano and singing. If you could call it singing. Of course, one
of these hobbies, and certainly not the least of them, is writing.
He lives in Nottingham with his family. One day, he hopes to earn
enough from writing so that he can give up real work. He also hopes for
enough free time to allow him to write more books in the first place!
